Streamlining needn't be confined to automobile design, as can be seen from the DS-57, an individual piece of furniture which calls to mind a 1930's racing car both to look at and to sit in. The steep rake of the seat that characterizes this club chair is due to the wedge-shaped base, which is either in solid glazed oak or sprays with impact-resistant high gloss lacquer. This model is also available with an adjustable head rest built in.
